Clean install Windows 7 / windows 8 from local hard disk

CLEAN INSTALL WINDOWS 7 FROM LOCAL HARD DISK WITHOUT DVD/USB BOOTABLE
 
  1. Extract the content of windows7 iso from power iso in the F:\windows7 directory (other partition in which you like to install windows 7)

  1. Detail about partition- who is active partion, who is boot partition, size of the partitions by PARTITION WIZARD HOME EDITION

  1. Here we assume that-

Ø      Already installed Windows 7 in which-
Ø      System Reserved partition(100MB) is ACTIVE PARTITION.
Ø      C drive is BOOT PARTITION.
Ø      We  have to clean install windows 7 in C partition .
Ø      We extract the windows 7 iso contents to F:\windows7.

  1. Copy ‘bootmgrfile  from  F:\windows7 to C:\
[here c:\ is a boot partition]

  1. Copy ‘boot’ folder from F:\windows7 to C:\
[here c:\ is a boot partition]

  1. copy ‘boot.wim’ file from F:\windows7\sources to C:\sources

7.   open disk management .
      make c partition as active partition, if it is not.

  1. Open cmd prompt as administrator.
Type- c:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt60 c:

  1. Now in cmd prompt
Go to c: drive
Type- label  cdrive

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. After boot up, select language, keyboard, time.
  3.  In the next screen, DO NOT Press on INSTALL WINDOWS
  4.  Click on REPAIR MY COMPUTER
  5. In the window recovery environment, open command prompt.
  6. type- format  c:  /q
  7. it will ask for name of this partition. Give the name ‘cdrive’ as we set in step 8.
  8. it will ask again the label to be this partition. Give the name ‘cdrive’.
  9. After the format complete, we have to start the installation manually.
In command prompt, Type-  F:\windows7\sources\setup.exe
  1. Continue with installation by custom installation
  2. Format system reserved partition and c partition.
  3. delect system reserved partition and c partition.
  4. now create maximum sized partition from unallocated size.
  5. it will create a system reserved partition (100 MB, System partition, Active partition, Primary partition) and a C partition(Boot partition, Primary partition).
  6. now install windows in c partition.
  7. continue with onscreen instruction.
